Evaluation Set (Eval Set)

A structured set of test scenarios, verifiable metrics and acceptance gates designed to test an AI-assisted workflow against acceptance criteria for accuracy, security and delivery quality. The point where generative AI most resists engineering discipline is evaluation; the impression that 'it looks good' is subjective, non-reproducible and non-scalable. The evaluation set turns that impression into measurable thresholds: the same scenarios are re-run on every version, output is scored against defined metrics, and no proof of concept or controlled pilot is accepted until a threshold is cleared. In the AI-Assisted Offensive Workflow it is this set that decides with which quality assurance a tool is taken to production; together with the approval model, it is the decision mechanism that draws the line between 'it seems to work' and 'it measurably cleared the threshold'.
