Anonymized Case
A case-narrative form in which a real customer engagement is de-identified while its structure, evidence-object type and decision impact are preserved. In offensive security, sharing references is caught between two pressures: showing how an engagement runs builds trust, yet customer confidentiality and usually a contractual secrecy obligation forbid disclosure. Anonymization is the discipline that resolves this tension; it is not fabrication, because it derives no scenario from scratch and only neutralizes traceable detail (organization name, individuals, unique configuration, numeric scale). The sector category is named generically, quantitative data is turned into qualitative phrasing, and the instructive skeleton of the engagement is left intact. What is read is therefore not a case but a method: what was done stays visible while to whom it was done becomes invisible.
“success story” - Red in Pulse cases are decision-clarity stories, not success or dramatic-threat narratives.
